Assoc. Dr. Tunç Özdemir was born in 1970 in İzmir. After completing his primary and secondary education at İnönü High School in İzmir, he graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 1994 and received the title of medical doctor. In the same year, he started his specialization in Pediatric Surgery at Dokuz Eylul University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Pediatric Surgery, and became a Pediatric Surgery Specialist in 1999 with his thesis named "Experimental Prefabricated Bladder". He worked as a lecturer at the oncology institute of the same faculty for a year, then started to work as a specialist physician at SSK Tepecik Training and Research Hospital in July 2000.

In 2010, he won the Chief Assistant exam and received the title of Chief Assistant.

He became an associate professor in 2014.

In 2017, Assoc. Dr. Tunç Özdemir worked as the manager of Tepecik EAH Pediatric Surgery Clinic between 2015-2020. Assoc. Dr. During the period he worked at Tunç Özdemir Tepecik Training Hospital Pediatric Surgery Clinic, he performed more than 15,000 operations, mainly in pediatric urology.

In August 2020, he started to work full-time at Kent Hospital Pediatric Surgery Clinic.
